PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI) has announced plans for
a second-stage share buyback worth up to Rp1 trillion. The buyback is
scheduled to run from 22 October 2026 to 21 January 2027.

BRI Corporate Secretary Dhanny said the corporate action forms part
of BBRI’s strategy to optimise shareholder value while taking account of
its financial condition and applicable regulations.

“This share buyback reflects BRI’s confidence in its business
fundamentals and long-term growth prospects. The company continues to
prioritise capital adequacy, prudential principles and sound corporate
governance in accordance with applicable regulations,” Dhanny said in an
official statement, quoted on Wednesday (28 October 2026).

Dhanny added that the decision also takes into consideration global
market dynamics, including economic uncertainty, geopolitical tensions,
commodity price movements and capital flows that affect volatility in
Indonesia’s financial markets.

At its annual general meeting on 24 March 2025, shareholders approved
a share buyback of up to Rp3 trillion, which could be conducted on or
off the stock exchange, in stages or in a single transaction, in
accordance with applicable regulations.

In 2026, BRI resumed the programme amid significant market
fluctuations. According to a disclosure dated 12 June 2026, the bank
allocated up to Rp500 billion for the first-stage buyback, which ran
from 12 June to 11 September 2026.

For the second quarter of 2026, BRI recorded net profit of Rp31.2
trillion. Total assets grew 11.7% year on year to Rp2,352 trillion,
third-party funds rose 6.7% to Rp1,581 trillion, and loans and financing
increased 16.2% to Rp1,646 trillion.

The performance was also supported by strong capital and liquidity
positions. BRI’s Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR) stood at 21.5%, while its
Loan to Deposit Ratio (LDR) was 90.8%. These positions provide
sufficient headroom for the bank to continue its intermediation role and
maintain healthy, sustainable business growth.

“With strong fundamentals and capital, we are confident BRI has room
to continue growing and deliver optimal returns to shareholders over the
long term,” Dhanny said.
",
