        "content": "<p>JAKARTA \u2014 PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, or BRI, has\ndistributed sustainable loans totalling 811.9 trillion rupiah through\nDecember 2025.<\/p>\n<p>The bank\u2019s Director of Network and Retail Funding, Aquarius Rudianto,\nstated that the portfolio comprises BRI social loans of 718.7 trillion\nrupiah directed towards micro-financing, SME financing, and subsidised\nhousing finance. This is complemented by BRI green loans of 93.2\ntrillion rupiah allocated to various environmentally conscious projects\nincluding renewable energy, energy efficiency, pollution prevention and\ncontrol, sustainable land management, green transportation,\neco-efficient products, and green buildings.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBRI\u2019s sustainable loans portfolio of 811.9 trillion rupiah\nrepresents 60.5 per cent of BRI\u2019s total loan portfolio,\u201d Rudianto stated\nin a written statement on Tuesday (10 March 2026).<\/p>\n<p>Rudianto noted that sustainability principles have been integrated\ninto BRI\u2019s long-term strategic direction as a foundation for\nstrengthening a resilient business model. This orientation serves as the\nbasis for ensuring growth is aligned with the transition agenda towards\na low-carbon economy whilst expanding financial inclusion.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, BRI\u2019s commitment to advancing the sustainability agenda\naligns with the government\u2019s Asta Cita, which emphasises strengthening\nthe alignment of life that is harmonious with the environment, nature,\nand culture.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOverall, this approach demonstrates that sustainability at BRI is\nnot merely oriented towards regulatory compliance, but has become an\nintegral part of the Bank\u2019s growth strategy. This integration\nstrengthens business resilience, expands access to responsible\nfinancing, and provides added social and environmental value to all\nstakeholders,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>BRI has also received recognition from international ESG rating\nagencies. The company obtained a score of 74 out of 100 on the Corporate\nSustainability Assessment 2025 by S&amp;P Global and has been listed as\na Sustainability Yearbook Member for four consecutive years in the\n2023\u20132026 period. Additionally, Sustainalytics has placed BRI in the Low\nESG Risk category, and MSCI has awarded it an A rating.<\/p>",
