        "content": "<p>Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia \u2014 The Saudi-led military coalition\nintercepted a drone over the Mecca region on Friday (30 October 2026).\nThe drone was reportedly launched by Yemen\u2019s Houthi rebels, who are\noften associated with Iran.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA drone launched by the Houthi terrorist militia has been\nintercepted,\u201d the coalition said on X, according to AFP. \u201cIt was\ndestroyed in the Mecca region,\u201d it added.<\/p>\n<p>The announcement came after Saudi Arabia said it had intercepted two\nmissiles fired towards Riyadh. The kingdom had earlier sent a warning to\nresidents by mobile phone.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAn AFP correspondent heard at least eight explosions,\u201d the French\nnews agency reported.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia\u2019s civil defence agency issued a warning about\n\u201cpotential danger\u201d in Riyadh, Al-Kharj and the southern city of Najran.\nSimilar warnings have frequently appeared in recent weeks before attacks\nlaunched by the Houthi group.<\/p>",
