        "content": "<p>The Indonesia Composite Index (IHSG) advanced 1% at the start of the\nsecond trading session on Tuesday (1\/9\/2026). The index\u2019s strength was\nsupported by a surge in several banking stocks, particularly within the\nlarge-cap bank group.<\/p>\n<p>Based on data from the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) at\napproximately 13:52 WIB, the IHSG strengthened by 65.07 points or 1% to\nthe level of 6,590.55. The index moved within a range of 6,535.80 to\n6,592.74 throughout the trading session.<\/p>\n<p>The strengthening of the IHSG was primarily supported by banking\nstocks. PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI) was the largest\ncontributor, with its share price rising by more than 2.5%.<\/p>\n<p>This was followed by PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk (BMRI) which rose\n2.1%, PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BBCA) by 1.5%, and PT Bank Negara\nIndonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBNI) which increased by 0.52%.<\/p>\n<p>The movement of these major bank stocks made the financial sector one\nof the primary pillars supporting the IHSG. This strengthening occurred\nas investors closely monitored various domestic and global sentiments at\nthe beginning of September.<\/p>\n<p>In the previous trading session, the IHSG closed slightly up by 0.11%\nat the 6,525.48 level. With today\u2019s gains, the index is once again\nmoving closer to the 6,600 level.<\/p>\n<p>Transaction activity was also observed to be high. As of\napproximately 13:52 WIB, the value of stock transactions reached Rp11.68\ntrillion, with a volume of 30.42 billion shares and a frequency of 1.72\nmillion times.<\/p>\n<p>A total of 398 stocks strengthened, 244 stocks weakened, while 321\nother stocks remained stagnant.<\/p>\n<p>The surge in banking stocks also occurred after foreign investors\nrecorded net purchases in several large banks during the previous\ntrading session. On Monday (31\/8\/2026), BBRI was the largest stock for\nforeign net buying, reaching Rp371.3 billion, followed by BBNI at\nRp103.9 billion, BBCA at Rp78.9 billion, and BMRI at Rp39.2 billion.<\/p>\n<p>Foreign buying activity in BBRI continued into the first session\ntoday. BBRI recorded a net buy of Rp405.96 billion, the highest among\nother stocks that also recorded net buying.<\/p>",
