PT Brantas Abypraya (Persero), a state-owned enterprise operating in\nthe construction sector, has completed the construction and development\nof the Indonesian School Kuala Lumpur (SIKL) facilities in Kuala Lumpur,\nMalaysia.<\/p>\n
SIKL has begun active use as an educational centre for the children\nof Indonesian citizens (WNI) in Malaysia.<\/p>\n
\u201cFor Brantas Abipraya, the construction of SIKL is more than just\ncompleting a construction project. Behind every classroom and facility\nwe build, there is a hope that Indonesian children in Malaysia can\nobtain a proper, comfortable learning space that supports them in\ndeveloping and achieving their aspirations,\u201d said Brantas Abipraya\nCorporate Secretary Dian Sovana in a statement received in Jakarta on\nWednesday.<\/p>\n
The SIKL construction project has a total building area of\napproximately 5,600 square metres, with the tallest building reaching\nfour storeys and one basement. Construction commenced in May 2025 and\nwas completed in May 2026.<\/p>\n
As part of the development of Indonesian educational facilities\nabroad, SIKL is equipped with various amenities to support learning\nactivities, character development, and student social and sporting\nactivities.<\/p>\n
These facilities include classrooms ranging from kindergarten to high\nschool, laboratories, staff rooms, committee and administrative rooms, a\nfood hall, a hall, a sports hall, a prayer room (musholla), and basement\nparking.<\/p>\n
The construction of these facilities was carried out by Brantas\nAbipraya as part of a government infrastructure assignment, with the\nMinistry of Public Works, through the Directorate of Strategic\nInfrastructure, acting as the employer.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, SIKL is the facility user operating under the auspices of\nthe Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia (KBRI) in Kuala Lumpur. With\nincreasingly adequate facilities, SIKL is targeted to accommodate up to\n800 students, thereby expanding educational access for Indonesian\ncitizens living or working in Malaysia.<\/p>\n
