Putting education
\nback on track<\/p>\n

The education sector faces an increasingly tough challenge.
\nSchool teachers, who are required to direct students according to
\nthe aims of national education, find their efforts obscured by
\nnegative external factors.<\/p>\n
Moreover, the institution of education has now been
\nmisrepresented by film producers, directors and teenage stars,
\nwith a variety of schools being turned into settings for TV
\ndramas depicting ways of life that are completely opposed to the
\nnation's educational aims.<\/p>\n
Such dramas \"teach\" students to live a luxury life, get
\ninvolved in gang feuds and \"engage in free sex\". In this way,
\nstudents become less inclined to accept the more humdrum
\nrealities of their lives.<\/p>\n
It is also difficult for teachers to motivate students to
\npursue further study because lots of them are more interested in
\njoining talent contests in a bid to be successful by relying on
\ngood looks and a fine voice, instead of deeper knowledge.<\/p>\n
Therefore, I would like to appeal that youth education be put
\nback on track and that the institution of education has its
\noriginal function restored. In this case, the minister of
\nnational education and the relevant House commission should
\nexercise proper control.<\/p>\n
