        "content": "<p>Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Human Resource Development Agency of the\nMinistry of Home Affairs (BPSDM Kemendagri) emphasises the importance of\nthe national defence spirit as the foundation for developing\nprofessional, adaptive, and integrity-driven civil servants (ASN) in\nfacing the challenges of the digital era and technological\ndisruptions.<\/p>\n<p>This assertion was made as part of the Basic Training for Prospective\nCivil Servants (Latsar CPNS) of the Ministry of Home Affairs for 2026\nthrough the National Defence Spirit Flame Ceremony in Jakarta on\nWednesday (6\/5).<\/p>\n<p>Head of BPSDM Kemendagri Sugeng Hariyono, in his statement in Jakarta\non Thursday, in an address read by Secretary of BPSDM Afrijal Dahrin,\nsaid that 21st-century challenges demand that ASN possess not only\nadministrative skills but also the ability to adapt to rapid\nchanges.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe demands of the 21st century require ASN who are not only\ntechnically and administratively competent but also capable of critical\nthinking, bold innovation, digital literacy, adaptability to change, and\ncross-sector and inter-agency collaboration,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, strengthening the national defence character is\nimportant because future ASN will face multidimensional threats, from\ncyber warfare and technological disruptions to the spread of\nmanipulative information that could disrupt national unity.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBecoming an ASN of the Ministry of Home Affairs means you have been\nchosen by the state to bear a noble responsibility. This is not just a\njob, but a calling of the soul to serve boundless dedication to\nIndonesia\u2019s 280 million people,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n<p>BPSDM also urged the CPNS to maintain integrity, prioritise national\ninterests over personal or group interests, and strengthen solidarity\namong civil servants.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cProvide the best service in every task as a form of sincere worship,\nand maintain solidarity and unity among fellow civil servants to support\nthe progress of the Ministry of Home Affairs,\u201d said Afrijal.<\/p>\n<p>The Latsar CPNS of the Ministry of Home Affairs for 2026 is attended\nby 398 participants divided into two waves using a blended learning\napproach. The programme began in January 2026 with self-directed\nlearning and is now entering the classical learning stage.<\/p>\n<p>Through this training, BPSDM Kemendagri aims to produce ASN who are\nnot only technically competent but also possess strong character and\nreadiness to face bureaucratic transformation and technological\ndevelopments.<\/p>",
