        "content": "<p>BPS to deliver health data<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA: The Ministry of Health signed on Monday an agreement<br>\nwith the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) to help speed up the<br>\ndelivery of regional health data.<\/p>\n<p>The agreement was signed by Minister of Health Sujudi and BPS<br>\nchief Soedarti Surbakti.<\/p>\n<p>Sujudi said the agreement was necessary because the delivery<br>\nof health data had deteriorated since the implementation of<br>\nregional autonomy in January 2001.<\/p>\n<p>He hoped the cooperation between the two institutions would<br>\nallow people to receive the latest data on disease eradication,<br>\nthe promotion of a healthy environment and lifestyle and other<br>\nhealth-related matters.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;We don&apos;t have any officials in the regions since autonomy, so<br>\nthe delivery of data is not good.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;BPS can help us because it has representatives in the<br>\nprovinces, regencies and mayoralties,&quot; he said. --JP<\/p>",
