        "content": "<p>The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) carried out a field check on\n106,000 premium assistance recipients (PBI) of BPJS Health who suffer\nfrom catastrophic or chronic diseases. BPS revealed that there are 3,934\nPBI individuals with chronic illnesses who have already passed away.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFrom the results of the stage 1 PBI field check, we found that there\nare 3,934 individuals who have already died,\u201d said BPS Chief Amalia\nAdininggar Widyasanti at the Ministry of Social Affairs (Kemensos)\noffice in Central Jakarta on Wednesday (1\/4\/2026).<\/p>\n<p>Amalia stated that there are more than 89,000 PBI who have been\nconfirmed to suffer from catastrophic diseases. She mentioned that\nKemensos will follow up on providing assistance to the confirmed\nPBI.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThen there are 89,559 who have been found and confirmed to indeed\nsuffer from catastrophic diseases, so of course Mr Minister of Social\nAffairs will follow it up by continuing the provision of benefits to\nthose PBI,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>BPS also revealed the existence of PBI who have not yet been located.\nAmalia said that her side will continue to track their whereabouts.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThen there are around 9,401 who we have not yet found; we are\ncontinuing to trace where they are,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>On the same occasion, Social Affairs Minister Saifullah Yusuf (Gus\nIpul) added that his side will check with BPJS Health regarding the\nunidentified recipients. The check is planned for tomorrow.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTomorrow, insyaallah, the team will head to BPJS Health for these\n9,000; they might have changed hospitals or moved places, which we need\nto confirm, and that will take time,\u201d said Gus Ipul.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf they have passed away, it will automatically be redirected to\nother beneficiaries because the allocation does not decrease,\u201d he\nadded.<\/p>",
