        "content": "<p>The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) has assured that the 2026\nEconomic Census guarantees the confidentiality of public data, as it is\nsolely used for statistical purposes and presented in aggregate form,\nensuring the identity of every respondent remains protected.<\/p>\n<p>BPS Main Inspector Dadang Hardiwan stated in Banjarbaru, South\nKalimantan, on Wednesday that the public need not worry about providing\ndata to census officers, as BPS is committed to safeguarding all\ninformation collected during the 2026 Economic Census.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cData collection will be conducted through several methods. Following\nthe online self-enumeration phase in May-June 2026, BPS will proceed\nwith direct door-to-door data collection from 15 June to 31 August 2026\nto reach members of the public who have not yet submitted their data,\u201d\nhe said.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, the enumeration targets not only business actors\nbut also households, as various family-run enterprises exist within\nresidential environments that form part of economic activity and need to\nbe captured through the 2026 Economic Census.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAll officers are equipped with official assignment letters and wear\n2026 Economic Census vests as identification when carrying out data\ncollection,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>He urged the public to verify that visiting officers are official BPS\npersonnel before providing information. This identification serves as a\nmarker for the public when receiving officer visits during the census\nperiod.<\/p>\n<p>Dadang emphasised that the enumeration results will not display\nindividual information, as BPS only presents the 2026 Economic Census\nresults in aggregate statistical form, ensuring that information\nprovided by the public remains protected in accordance with applicable\nregulations.<\/p>\n<p>He invited the public to actively participate in making the 2026\nEconomic Census a success by welcoming official BPS officers and\nproviding truthful data according to actual conditions, so that the\nquality of the resulting data becomes increasingly accurate.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe hope the public remembers the \u2018TIR\u2019 message: Terima (Welcome) the\nEconomic Census officer, Isi (Fill in) data truthfully, and Rahasia\n(Secrecy) of your data is maintained by BPS as a commitment to\npreserving public trust during the data collection process,\u201d said Dadang\nHardiwan.<\/p>",
