        "content": "<p>Jakarta (ANTARA) - The National Agency of Drug and Food Control\n(BPOM) is preparing a national campaign or action to prevent the misuse\nof certain drugs, which has been deemed increasingly concerning in\nrecent years. \u201cInsha\u2019Allah, we will carry out a national action on\npreventing misuse and request support (from Commission IX of the DPR) in\nthis context,\u201d said BPOM Head Taruna Ikrar during a hearing with\nCommission IX of the Indonesian House of Representatives at the\nparliamentary complex in Jakarta on Monday. BPOM hopes that through this\nnational campaign, awareness among Indonesians of the dangers of drug\nmisuse will increase, while also strengthening comprehensive oversight\nefforts. In addition to preparing the national campaign, Taruna said his\nagency is also working to strengthen cross-stakeholder collaborations\nand improve public education to prevent drug misuse in the country.\nFurthermore, Taruna highlighted an example of drug misuse, namely\nketamine. It is known that ketamine is one of the drugs with potential\nfor misuse. Ketamine is an anaesthetic drug that is medically used for\nsurgical procedures and pain management, but it can cause hallucinogenic\neffects if used outside its indications.
