        "content": "<p>Jakarta (ANTARA) - BPJS Ketenagakerjaan has assured that workers\naffected by termination of employment (PHK) will continue to receive\ntheir entitlements, including benefits under the Job Loss Guarantee\n(JKP) programme.<\/p>\n<p>The President Director of BPJS Ketenagakerjaan, Saiful Hidayat,\nstated that in addition to ensuring the disbursement of JKP for workers\nwho have already been laid off, the agency is also mapping companies\nthat are potentially at risk of conducting PHK to accelerate services\nfor affected workers.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are organising and ensuring which companies are potentially going\nto conduct PHK, and we have prepared the data,\u201d Saiful said when met at\nthe Ministry of Cooperatives office in Jakarta on Monday.<\/p>\n<p>He added that BPJS Ketenagakerjaan will actively reach out to\ncompanies to ensure that workers\u2019 rights can be processed immediately if\nPHK occurs.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe will actively contact employers to ensure that if PHK does\nhappen, workers\u2019 rights can be received by them as soon as possible,\u201d he\nsaid.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, BPJS Ketenagakerjaan is preparing direct services at the\nlocations of companies experiencing PHK if needed.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, the primary duty of BPJS Ketenagakerjaan is to\nensure that workers affected by PHK receive services and their rights\npromptly.<\/p>\n<p>Based on data from the Ministry of Manpower (Kemnaker) as of 5 May\n2026, there were 15,425 workers who experienced PHK during the period\nfrom January to April 2026 and are registered as JKP programme\nparticipants.<\/p>\n<p>The workers laid off during that period mostly came from West Java\nProvince, accounting for around 21.65 percent or 3,339 people out of the\ntotal reported workers.<\/p>\n<p>Workers who have been laid off can report their PHK status and submit\nclaims through the JKP application at the latest six months after the\nPHK date.<\/p>\n<p>Regarding the affected sectors, Saiful mentioned that industries\nreliant on oil and plastic raw materials are potentially under pressure\ndue to the current global economic conditions and ongoing wars.<\/p>\n<p>Nevertheless, he said that BPJS Ketenagakerjaan does not have\nspecific detailed data regarding the companies or sectors experiencing\nPHK.<\/p>",
