The Director of Membership at BPJS Ketenagakerjaan, Agung Nugroho, is\nencouraging informal workers or Non-Wage Recipients (BPU) to take\nadvantage of the 50% reduction in contributions for the Work Accident\nInsurance (JKK) and Death Benefit Insurance (JKM) programmes, which will\napply until December 2026.<\/p>\n
Agung explained that this programme forms part of President Prabowo\u2019s\nAsta Cita, particularly in strengthening human resource development by\nsafeguarding workers\u2019 purchasing power and welfare levels, as well as\naccelerating inclusive and sustainable economic growth through social\nsecurity participation for BPU workers.<\/p>\n
This step aligns with BPJS Ketenagakerjaan\u2019s focus on expanding\nmembership coverage (Coverage), ensuring comprehensive protection\n(Care), and strengthening public trust (Credibility) in the employment\nsocial security programmes.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis is proof that the state cares deeply about protecting all\nIndonesian workers, especially those in the informal sector. Let\u2019s seize\nthis opportunity so that no worker is left behind and works without\nprotection,\u201d said Agung.<\/p>\n
This contribution reduction applies to all BPU workers who register\nas independent participants with BPJS Ketenagakerjaan, whether new\nparticipants or those already actively registered. Workers only need to\npay Rp8,400 per month during the period from April to December 2026.\nThus, for workers wishing to utilise the contribution reduction for 9\nmonths (April\u2013December), they only need to pay a total of Rp75,600.<\/p>\n
Agung assured that there will be no reduction in the quality of\nservices provided by BPJS Ketenagakerjaan to participants. The benefits\nreceived remain intact, including work accident compensation of up to\nRp70 million, medical treatment for work accidents without cost limits\naccording to medical needs, death benefits of up to Rp42 million, and\neducation scholarships for up to two children worth a maximum of Rp174\nmillion.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, the Head of the Rawamangun Branch Office of BPJS\nKetenagakerjaan, Ferry Yuniawan, also urged the public, especially\ninformal sector workers in his area, to immediately take advantage of\nthis programme.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe urge informal sector workers not to delay in obtaining employment\nsocial security protection. With the current very affordable\ncontributions, the benefits obtained are far greater and very important\nas protection against work risks and life risks,\u201d said Ferry.<\/p>\n
He also added that his office continues to conduct extensive\nsocialisation to ensure more workers understand the importance of\nbecoming active participants in BPJS Ketenagakerjaan.<\/p>\n
Registration and contribution payments for BPJS Ketenagakerjaan are\nnow even easier and can be done through various channels, including the\nJMO (Jamsostek Mobile) application, the official BPJS Ketenagakerjaan\nwebsite, and various payment partners such as Indomaret, Alfamart, Pos\noffices, banking agents, e-commerce, digital wallets, and other\ncooperating payment channels.<\/p>\n
