KARAWANG — BPJS Ketenagakerjaan and PT Jasa Raharja have launched an
integrated application for work accident and traffic accident insurance
claims to expedite services for workers involved in work-related traffic
accidents. The launch was conducted by BPJS Ketenagakerjaan CEO Saiful
Hidayat and PT Jasa Raharja CEO Muhammad Awaluddin at Primaya Hospital
Karawang on Monday, 25 May 2026.

This app integration is part of strengthening digital transformation
in worker protection services to deliver faster, coordinated claims
processing and ensure service certainty for participants. The connected
application enables more effective Coordination of Benefit (CoB) between
BPJS Ketenagakerjaan and PT Jasa Raharja, speeding up service for
participants and simplifying administrative processes at healthcare
facilities.

BPJS Ketenagakerjaan CEO Saiful Hidayat stated the collaboration is a
realisation of the agency’s 3C strategy, particularly the ‘Care’ aspect,
providing seamless protection without barriers. ‘This integration is a
crucial step to ensure our workers are seamlessly protected through
easier information and data exchange between BPJS Ketenagakerjaan and
Jasa Raharja,’ he said. He added that this allows better CoB
coordination, demonstrating the state’s commitment to providing optimal
protection for Indonesian workers.

Saiful also emphasised that BPJS Ketenagakerjaan’s Work Accident
Insurance (JKK) covers risks not only at the workplace but also during
commutes to and from work. ‘BPJS Ketenagakerjaan’s protection begins
when workers leave for work and ends when they return home. Therefore,
strengthening collaboration with PT Jasa Raharja is vital to ensure
service certainty during work-related traffic accidents,’ he added.

BPJS Ketenagakerjaan noted traffic accidents remain a major
contributor to work accidents in Indonesia. In 2025, of around 318,000
recorded work accident cases, approximately 28%—over 87,000—occurred in
traffic. Most incidents happened during commutes to and from work or
work-related travel using transportation. This highlights the need for
enhanced post-accident services as well as promotive and preventive
measures to reduce road traffic work accidents.

PT Jasa Raharja CEO Muhammad Awaluddin said the collaboration
represents national protection integration through synergy between two
institutions mandated to provide basic public protection. ‘This
collaboration between Jasa Raharja and BPJS Ketenagakerjaan is a form of
national protection integration aimed at delivering faster, precise, and
accurate services for the public, especially workers in work-related
traffic accidents. The system integration also strengthens the National
Social Security System ecosystem through seamless and coordinated
services,’ Awaluddin said. He added that the integration would enhance
inter-agency service efficiency and optimise the CoB mechanism, making
claims processing more effective and coordinated. ‘We hope this
innovation does not stop at today’s integration. In the future, we will
continue developing service innovations to ensure basic protection for
citizens and Indonesian workers is more accessible, swift, and
beneficial,’ he added.

The app integration also strengthens data and service coordination to
make claims administration more efficient, accurate, and transparent,
including easing processes for Work Accident Service Centres (PLKK) in
serving participants. With today’s launch, 1,624 PLKKs collaborating
with BPJS Ketenagakerjaan and PT Jasa Raharja can now access the
integrated application.

Accompanying this, DJSN member Muttaqien, who attended the event,
praised the synergy between the two institutions in delivering better
and more efficient services. ‘We strongly support and appreciate the
system integration between BPJS Ketenagakerjaan and Jasa Raharja. We
hope this application functions well and ensures all services are
delivered more effectively and efficiently in the future,’ Muttaqien
said.

The launch event also included safety riding education and campaigns
as part of BPJS Ketenagakerjaan’s promotive and preventive programs.
These efforts aim to raise worker awareness of road safety and
occupational safety and health (K3) culture, given traffic accidents
remain a major risk for Indonesian workers. This aligns with Minister of
Manpower Regulation No. 10 of 2016 on Procedures for Promotive and
Preventive Activities for Work Accidents and Occupational Diseases, and
supports strengthening the national K3 ecosystem through cross-sector
collaboration and digital technology in worker protection services.
Saiful reiterated that worker protection does not only focus on
post-accident handling but also on prevention efforts to reduce work
accident rates.
",
