        "content": "<p>BPJS Kesehatan officially signed a Joint Circular Letter (SEB)\nregarding the Acceleration of the Implementation of Integrated SATUSEHAT\nElectronic Medical Records (RME) for JKN Claim Management on Thursday,\n30 July 2026. The circular was signed in collaboration with the Ministry\nof Health, the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Corruption Eradication\nCommission (KPK), and the National Cyber and Crypto Agency (BSSN).<\/p>\n<p>Through this circular, hospitals partnered with BPJS Kesehatan are\nencouraged to transition from claim processes based on scanned PDF\ndocuments to electronic claims based on RME data. Aminudin, Deputy for\nPrevention and Monitoring at the KPK, stated that the circular\nestablishes technical standards to ensure that RME becomes the sole\nvalid, complete, and auditable source of JKN claim documents. He\nexplained that this policy will enter a transition or trial phase\nstarting in August 2026.<\/p>\n<p>As of May 2026, the KPK noted that 2,400 hospitals had already\nsubmitted data for six RME services to the SATUSEHAT platform. \u201cAt this\nstage, hospitals are adjusting their systems, testing data transmission,\nimplementing electronic signatures, and simulating electronic claims\nwithout disrupting the continuity of healthcare service payments.\nSubsequently, the implementation will be re-evaluated. If deemed ready\non a national scale, the \u2018No RME, No Claim\u2019 policy is targeted to be\nfully effective in 2027,\u201d said Aminudin.<\/p>\n<p>Electronic Medical Records (RME) based on the National Identity\nNumber (NIK) connect patient identities, diagnoses, procedures,\nmedications, healthcare professionals, service times, and other\nsupporting documents into a single digital footprint. This integration\ncan assist in detecting potential patient data manipulation or irregular\nclaim patterns.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the Director of Planning and Development at BPJS\nKesehatan, Sutopo Patria Jati, stated that the implementation of RME\nintegrated with SATUSEHAT is expected to achieve a more effective,\nefficient, transparent, and accountable claim verification governance.\nAdditionally, it can reduce the risk of administrative errors and\npotential fraud in the claim submission process by hospitals.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTogether with the Ministry of Health, we are ready to support the\nuse of RME data integrated with SATUSEHT. The implementation of this\npolicy is being carried out gradually and will not disrupt hospital\nservice processes for participants. This integration is one of the\nefforts to strengthen fraud prevention mechanisms within the JKN\nProgramme, ensuring that the claim verification and payment process is\nmore accurate and transparent,\u201d he said.<\/p>",
