        "content": "<p>Strengthening the halal ecosystem in border regions has become a\nstrategic step to enhance the competitiveness of national products.\nJakarta (ANTARA) - The Halal Product Guarantee Agency (BPJPH) is\ncommitted to strengthening the development of Indonesia\u2019s national halal\necosystem, including in border regions.<\/p>\n<p>BPJPH Secretary-General Muhammad Aqil Irham stated in Jakarta on\nMonday that border regions possess significant economic potential and\nserve as a showcase for Indonesian products to neighbouring\ncountries.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBorder regions are Indonesia\u2019s front porch. The products circulating\nthere are not only consumed by local communities but also have the\npotential to reach cross-border markets,\u201d said Aqil Irham.<\/p>\n<p>For this reason, strengthening halal service infrastructure in these\nareas is an important part of the national strategy for halal industry\ndevelopment.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cStrengthening the halal ecosystem in border regions is a strategic\nstep to increase the competitiveness of national products,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>One strategic measure being prepared is the plan to establish a BPJPH\nTechnical Implementation Unit (UPT) in West Kalimantan.<\/p>\n<p>Aqil Irham stated that the plan to establish a UPT BPJPH in West\nKalimantan is also intended to bring halal certification services closer\nto the community and business operators.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWith the presence of a UPT in the region, the process of\nfacilitation, coaching and mentoring for business operators can run more\neffectively and responsively to field needs,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, the presence of a BPJPH UPT in the region is also\nexpected to strengthen synergy with local government, halal product\nprocess support institutions (LP3H), universities and other stakeholders\nin strengthening an increasingly inclusive and sustainable halal\necosystem.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c(It is) Directly bordering Malaysia, so strengthening the halal\necosystem in this region becomes important in supporting the\ncompetitiveness of Indonesian halal products in the regional area,\u201d said\nAqil Irham.<\/p>\n<p>Through this measure, BPJPH hopes that more business operators in\nborder regions will obtain halal certificates, enabling local products\nto develop more widely, increase consumer confidence and open\nopportunities for expansion into larger markets.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis effort is also part of the government\u2019s commitment to continue\nencouraging halal-based economic growth whilst strengthening Indonesia\u2019s\nposition in the global halal industry map,\u201d he said.<\/p>",
