The BPH Migas has affirmed that the Single Price Fuel Programme guarantees equitable access to subsidised fuels like kerosene, Biosolar, and Pertalite for residents in North Maluku's remote and outermost areas, supporting local economic growth. Officials report that stocks and distribution are secure, with plans to expand outlets to 212 points in Papua and Maluku by December 2025, including five additional sites in North Maluku through 2029. This initiative, backed by Pertamina Patra Niaga's reliable sea-based logistics, underscores the government's commitment to stable energy supply in Indonesia's island regions, addressing unique distribution challenges highlighted by parliamentary members.

Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Downstream Oil and Gas Regulatory Body (BPH
Migas) has ensured that the Single Price Fuel Programme maintains energy
access for residents in underdeveloped, frontier, and outermost (3T)
areas across the North Maluku island region.

BPH Migas Head Wahyudi Anas stated in Jakarta on Friday that the
programme guarantees that communities in 3T areas obtain fuel at prices
equivalent to other parts of Indonesia, while also safeguarding local
economic growth.

He explained that the government consistently ensures the
availability and smooth distribution of subsidised fuel and
state-compensated fuel to be targeted and effective for island
communities.

“Accessibility to fuel for island communities in North Maluku is
assured, including kerosene, Biosolar, and Pertalite,” he said during a
working visit by the House of Representatives Commission XII recess in
Ternate, North Maluku, on Thursday (23/4).

Wahyudi detailed that by December 2025, the number of Single Price
Fuel outlets in Papua and Maluku will reach 212 points, with 53 located
in North Maluku.

“Furthermore, the need for Single Price Fuel outlets in North Maluku
for the period from 2025 to 2029 is five points,” he stated.

Furthermore, Wahyudi assured that the stock and distribution of fuel
in North Maluku are in a safe and controlled condition.

This serves as a crucial factor in maintaining energy supply
stability in island areas.

“Fuel stocks and distribution in North Maluku are very secure and
face no obstacles,” he said.

In addition, support from assigned business entities in distributing
energy is deemed to be running optimally, including through sea routes
that are the mainstay in island regions.

PT Pertamina Patra Niaga has also ensured distribution to North
Maluku, both via ships and other transport modes, is well-scheduled.

On that occasion, Wahyudi emphasised the importance of effective
communication among stakeholders to ensure optimal control of fuel
distribution in North Maluku.

Reliable energy distribution in island regions is vital to support
community economic activities, maintain inter-regional connectivity, and
ensure sustainable fulfilment of public needs.

“Thus, the primary needs for subsidised fuel and state-compensated
fuel to support economic activities of communities in North Maluku can
be well met,” he explained.

Meanwhile, Commission XII House Member Syarif Fasha highlighted the
importance of maintaining fuel availability in island regions that face
their own distribution challenges.

Efforts to ensure a safe and smooth fuel supply in island areas
require special attention.

“North Maluku Province is an island region, where not everything can
be transported by land; most goes by sea. This is something that may
need to be considered,” he said.

He also hoped that Pertamina’s assignment is accompanied by full
responsibility in maintaining energy supply in the regions.

Meanwhile, Pertamina Patra Niaga’s Deputy Director Taufik
Adityawarman stated that his company continues to evaluate distribution
points to prevent delays in supply, ensuring that fuel and LPG
availability remains well-maintained.

The event was also attended by Commission XII House Members Ateng
Sutisna and Elpisina, as well as North Maluku Provincial Secretary
Syamsuddin A Kadir.
",
