Head of BP3MI West Java,\nAKBP Singgih Hermawan, stated in Cianjur on Tuesday that Cianjur Regency\nranks among the top three areas sending non-procedural migrant workers\nfrom West Java to various Middle Eastern countries, after Indramayu and\nCirebon. Various efforts to reduce this number are being carried out\ntogether with the Cianjur Regional Leadership Communication Forum\n(Forkopimda), enabling proactive measures and public counselling through\nexisting collaboration. \u201cWe will go down to the villages because the\nsource of the problem is indeed in the villages, involving the local\ngovernment, police, relevant agencies, and village administrations to\ndetect residents who are potentially being sent abroad through\nnon-procedural means,\u201d he said. He expressed hope that the collaboration\nwould map out citizens who are tempted or detect potential candidates\nfor non-procedural deployment abroad, similar to the case experienced by\nCianjur migrant worker Ai Juariah in Libya. \u201cRegarding the detailed\nnumber of cases, we do not yet have the exact figure, but it is clear\nthat Cianjur remains the third-largest source of non-procedural worker\nplacements in West Java,\u201d he said. Meanwhile, Cianjur migrant worker Ai\nJuariah was finally able to reunite with her family in Cianjur after\nvarious parties assisted her return to the country, which had been\nhindered by the country\u2019s conflict. Ai was welcomed at the Cianjur\nRegent\u2019s Office, accompanied by representatives from the Ministry of\nP2MI, Cianjur Police, the West Java Provincial PPA Office, the Cianjur\nManpower Office, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and BP3MI, before\nreturning to her home in Ciranjang District.<\/p>",
