        "content": "<p>Batam (ANTARA) - The Batam Development Agency (BP Batam), Kepulauan\nRiau (Kepri), is accelerating local transmigration to Rempang Eco City,\nrecording a total of 242 households or 842 souls who have occupied the\nnew residential area. Member\/Deputy for Public Services of BP Batam,\nAriastuty Sirait, explained that this process is part of BP Batam\u2019s\ncommitment to supporting the Ministry of Transmigration\u2019s programme.\n\u201cThis is part of BP Batam\u2019s commitment that prioritises the concept of\nlocal transmigration in efforts to support Rempang\u2019s development,\u201d she\nsaid in an official statement received in Batam on Thursday. \u201cWe hope\nthat the Rempang Eco-City area can become a new environment that is more\ncomfortable and productive for the community, while opening up greater\neconomic opportunities for future generations,\u201d Ariastuty stated. Since\nearly May, 11 households or 31 individuals have moved to the new area.\nIn detail, 3 households shifted on 5 May 2026, followed by 4 households\non 11 May 2026 and 3 households the next day. \u201cResidents who have moved\nto Rempang Eco-City receive new habitable homes and accompaniment during\nthe adaptation process in the new environment,\u201d she said.
