        "content": "<p>Border crossers fate unknown<\/p>\n<p>JAYAPURA, Irian Jaya: The Irian Jaya provincial administration<br>\nis concerned about the hundreds of people who crossed the border<br>\nand are being held in East Awin camp, Kuinga, Papua New Guinea.<\/p>\n<p>The concern arises from the fact that the United Nations High<br>\nCommissioner on Refugees stopped funding for such camps in June.<\/p>\n<p>The secretary for Irian Jaya border relations, FX Suryanto,<br>\nwas quoted by Antara as saying here yesterday that it is not<br>\nknown whether the camp would be closed down or what would happen<br>\nto the people detained there.<\/p>\n<p>The Indonesian government is expected to raise the issue in<br>\nthe border liaison meeting which began on Monday and lasts<br>\nthrough Saturday. So far the Papuan delegates have not given a<br>\nsatisfactory reply to questions broached. (mds)<\/p>",
