The new tax reform bill stipulates that contributions for
\nscholarships, research and other expenses for educational
\nfacilities are all tax deductible.<\/p>\n
As a student, I welcome this provision because it will
\nincrease the interest from companies in providing scholarships
\nfor students with high achievements or disadvantaged children.<\/p>\n
It will also be favorable to research and development, which
\nrequire large funds while limited college budgets have always
\nbecome a barrier.<\/p>\n
Let us hope that the coming tax law will prompt companies to
\nmake bigger expenditures for educational and research facilities.
\nPromoting education through tax rules is worthy of our support as
\na nation's advancement depends on the intelligence of its next
\ngeneration.<\/p>\n
