The annual Bontang Lemperfair 2026 festival officially opened at\nLembah Permai Adventure Park, West Bontang, on Friday night. Featuring a\ndistinctive Chinatown atmosphere, the event represents a collaboration\nbetween public entertainment and efforts to strengthen the economy for\nmicro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Bontang City.<\/p>\n
Anwar Sadat, Expert Staff for Government and Law, representing the\nMayor of Bontang, officially opened the event with a traditional lion\ndance drum performance alongside Sony Lesmana, the owner and initiator\nof Lemperlag. The opening ceremony was further enlivened by acrobatic\ndisplays from the Samarinda Lion Dance team, which captivated\nattendees.<\/p>\n
In his speech, Anwar Sadat emphasised that Lemperfair is more than\njust an entertainment event; it is a strategic space for MSMEs to market\ntheir flagship products. \u201cActivities such as this are capable of\nproviding high-quality entertainment while simultaneously driving\nregional economic growth through the vitality of MSMEs,\u201d said Anwar.<\/p>\n
Sony Lesmana explained that this year\u2019s festival is more vibrant,\nfeaturing decorations of thousands of lanterns and various attractive\nphoto spots. In addition to music performances and lion dances, the\norganisers have provided various entertainment rides and a diverse range\nof local culinary options to delight visitors.<\/p>\n
To attract the public, the committee is offering daily door prizes\nand a grand prize draw on the closing night. Entrance fees are set at an\naffordable rate of Rp5,000 from Sunday to Thursday, and Rp10,000 on\nFridays and Saturdays, with children under five years of age entering\nfor free.<\/p>\n
