        "content": "<p>The Bondowoso Regency Government in East Java has submitted a request\nfor the temporary opening of access to the Prosiwangi Toll Road\n(Probolinggo-Situbondo-Banyuwangi) to reduce congestion and vehicle\nqueues on the Pantura route in Probolinggo and Situbondo. Bondowoso\nRegent Abd Hamid Wahid stated that he had sent a letter to the Ministry\nof Public Works regarding the proposal, prompted by ongoing culvert\nrepair works on the Pantura or national road in Paiton District,\nProbolinggo, and on the Pantura road in Banyuglugur District, Situbondo.\n\u201cTherefore, we are requesting the temporary opening of access to the\nProsiwangi Toll Road as an alternative route during the construction\nperiod,\u201d he said in a statement in Bondowoso on Friday. According to Ra\nHamid, as he is known, the temporary opening of the Prosiwangi toll\naccess is deemed necessary as part of a traffic management and\nengineering strategy to maintain road service levels, ensure smooth\nlogistics distribution, reduce potential queues and travel delays. \u201cIt\nis also to improve safety aspects for road users and construction\nworkers by separating traffic flow from the work zone, and to minimise\nthe impact of congestion caused by lane narrowing or partial closures at\nthe work site,\u201d he added. The proposal for the temporary opening of the\nProsiwangi Toll Road by Bondowoso Regent Abd Hamid Wahid was also\naddressed to the Ministry of Transportation, the Governor of East Java,\nand the President Director of PT Jasa Marga. According to information\ngathered, the culvert repair work on the Pantura route in Kalianget\nVillage, Banyuglugur District, commenced on 6 July 2026, with a one-way\nalternating traffic system in place until the work is expected to be\ncompleted by the end of August 2026.<\/p>",
