        "content": "<p>Bomb suspect regrets killing non-Americans<\/p>\n<p>Wahyoe Boedhiwardhana, The Jakarta Post, Denpasar, Bali<\/p>\n<p>Ali Imron, a key suspect in the Bali bomb blasts in October last<br>\nyear, said he felt \"regret\" after learning that most of the 202<br>\nvictims killed in the attack were non-Americans.<\/p>\n<p>\"The bombing initially targeted Americans, whose country is<br>\nthe enemy of Islam,\" Imron told reporters here after his transfer<br>\nfrom the custody of Bali police to the Bali Prosecutors' Office<br>\non Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>Before his interview with prosecutor, Imam pointed his hand in<br>\nthe air, forming a victory sign.<\/p>\n<p>\"The U.S. will be destroyed. God willing, there will be more<br>\nbombs for the U.S.,\" he yelled.<\/p>\n<p>The transfer marked the beginning of his prosecution.<\/p>\n<p>Australians topped the list of people killed with 88<br>\ncasualties.<\/p>\n<p>The victims, mostly foreign tourists, were killed when bombs<br>\ntore through the Sari Club and Paddy's Bar in Legian Street,<br>\nKuta. Hundreds of others were injured. A third bomb went off<br>\noutside the U.S. Consulate in Renon, Denpasar, but no fatalities<br>\nresulted.<\/p>\n<p>Seven Americans were killed in the blasts, the worst terrorist<br>\nattack since the attacks in the U.S. on Sept. 11, 2001, which<br>\nwere blamed on the al-Qaeda terror group.<\/p>\n<p>Imron was the alleged driver of a L-300 van that was used by<br>\nthe terrorist cell, allegedly led by Imam Samudra, that carried<br>\nthe explosives that exploded outside the Sari Club.<\/p>\n<p>Along with the file of Imron, police handed prosecutors 13<br>\ndossiers of other suspects, including that of Imam, on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>The other files belong to Mujarod, Muhammad Yunus, Eko Hadi<br>\nPrasetya, Iman Susanto, Sofyan Hadi, Firmansyah bin Edi Harun,<br>\nPuryanto bin Yatimin, Muhajir, Syamsul Arifin, Sirojul Munir,<br>\nSukastopo bin Kartomiharjo and Mubarok.<\/p>\n<p>They are facing sentences ranging from 15 years in jail to<br>\ndeath, depending on their roles in the case.<\/p>\n<p>There are a total of 33 suspects arrested so far, but only<br>\nAmrozi has been brought to court.<\/p>",
