Bomb hoax at printer factory<\/p>\n
JAKARTA: Printer manufacturer PT Epson in Lippo Cikarang,
\nBekasi, received a telephoned bomb hoax on Friday at 10 a.m.<\/p>\n
About 5,000 employees were immediately evacuated and the bomb
\nsquad called in to search the factory.<\/p>\n
Elshinta radio reported the hoax was received by a
\nreceptionist at the factory. Employees were sent home and the
\nfactory closed down for the day.<\/p>\n
No bomb was found and the Bekasi Police are investigating the

BOGOR: Police detectives arrested early on Thursday three
\nsuspects in a string of recent cattle thefts.<\/p>\n
Chief of detectives Adj. Comr. Ferdy Sambo said the gang had
\nbeen on the police's wanted list after they murdered Jumri
\nJaisan, 72, and stole his two cows on April 15. The police said
\nthe gang later sold the cows.<\/p>\n
While taking the three suspects into custody, the police
\nwounded them.<\/p>\n
\"We had to shoot them in the leg for resisting arrest,\" Ferdy
\nsaid.<\/p>\n
The suspects were identified as Hendra, 33, a resident of
\nCicurug district in Sukabumi, West Java, and brothers Asep
\nKusnadi, 28, and Iyep, alias Bontot, 18, both of Ciawi district,
\nBogor.<\/p>\n
According to the police, Hendra claimed he was the leader of
\nthe gang and that they were responsible for at least five thefts.<\/p>\n
The three are being charged with theft with violence, which

TANGERANG: Residents of Neglasari district here accused a
\nprivate firm of destroying the embankments along the Cisadane
\nRiver, putting the area at risk of flooding.<\/p>\n
\"The three-meter-high river embankments have disappeared, dug
\nup by several people employed by wood processing factory PT KIAT
\nin Kedaung Baru subdistrict,\" Asnali, chairman of the Neglasari
\nCommunity Empowerment Body, told The Jakarta Post on Friday.<\/p>\n
The water level of the Cisadane River is now at the same level
\nas the nearby residential areas, he said, adding that the river
\noften overflowed its banks.<\/p>\n
\"We hope the Tangerang administration will take stern measures
\nagainst the company,\" he said.<\/p>\n
Tangerang Mayor Wahidin Halim promised to punish the company
\nif it was responsible for damaging the river. \"I have ordered my
\npublic order officers to look into the company.\"<\/p>\n
However, the head of the public order agency, Edwan
\nFirmansyah, said the case should be handled by the environmental
