Bomb blast at Gambir house<\/p>\n
JAKARTA (JP): A home-made bomb exploded yesterday in the yard
\nof a businessman's house on Jl. Batu, Gambir district, in Central
\nJakarta, breaking the windows of the house. No fatalities were
\nreported.<\/p>\n
Witnesses said they saw two unidentified men put the bomb in
\nfront of Jun R. Tahier's house, lit it and left on a motorcycle
\nin the early hours of yesterday morning.<\/p>\n
Central Jakarta Police Chief Lt. Col. Abubakar Nataprawira
\nsaid the police are still investigating the case.<\/p>\n
"The bomb was probably aimed at frighting the house's owner,"
\nAbubakar said, saying that it was made from a bottle containing
\ngasoline. It started a small fire.<\/p>\n
Tahier said he was sleeping when the bomb exploded. When he
\nwoke up the fire had already been extinguished.<\/p>\n
He said he has no enemies. But he added that two years ago an
\ninvestor expressed a keen interest in buying at least nine
\nhouses, including his, located in a strategic area.<\/p>\n
Tahier said he was wondering if the incident had anything to
\ndo with the investor.(jun)<\/p>",
