Bogus detectives rob businessman<\/p>\n
BOGOR (JP): Claiming to be police detectives, four men barged
\ninto the home of a businessman, on Jl. Kenanga in the Kota Batu
\nvillage of Ciomas and robbed him of his car, gold jewelry and
\nelectronic equipment.<\/p>\n
Depok Police chief of detectives First. Insp. Dwight Jordan de
\nFretes identified the victim as Erwin, 55, who told Depok Police
\nthat the \"detectives\" who barged into his home, had first accused
\nErwin's home of being a drug supplier's den.<\/p>\n
\"The robbers, who called themselves police detectives, told
\nErwin that neighboring residents had reported to the police about
\nErwin's den of drugs, and so they needed to carry out a search,\"
\nDwight told reporters.<\/p>\n
\"Erwin tried to stop the 'detectives', since they had no
\nsearch warrant, but the men just barged in.\"<\/p>\n
Quoting Erwin's statements to the police, Dwight said that
\nonce the robbers were inside the house, Erwin, his wife and two
\nchildren and their three maidservants were all thrown into a room
\nand tied up with shoestring.<\/p>\n
\"The robbers took gold, electronic equipment, such as the
\ntelevision set, dumped them into Erwin's Kijang van and sped
