Bogor to use garbage incinerator<\/p>\n
BOGOR: Bogor will incinerate its garbage and the resultant ash
\nwill be used to make concrete bricks.<\/p>\n
Bogor's Park and Sanitation Agency chief, Dody Rosadi, said
\nthat such a facility that had also been applied in Tangerang,
\nBanten province, would also reduce environmental damage.<\/p>\n
Dody said that the facility would need an investment of Rp 5.7
\nbillion for the purchase of an incinerator and to construct a
\nbuilding to accommodate the incinerator in Paledang.<\/p>\n
He said Rp 1.5 billion of the total funds would be provided by
\nthe city municipal council and the rest by private investors.<\/p>\n
According to him, the council will also build other
\nfacilities, but their location was still undecided.<\/p>\n
"With such a facility, the municipal council is expected to
\nreduce the operational cost of handling garbage, which reaches up
\nto Rp 3 billion each year.<\/p>\n
The incinerator, he said, would be able to incinerate some 250
\ncubic meters of trash per day. The city's daily garbage output
