        "content": "<p>Bogor residents have been willing to queue from dawn and even in the\nearly morning hours to exchange money at the Balkot Ramadan Fest 2026\nheld in the courtyard of Bogor City Library.<\/p>\n<p>The event was originally scheduled from Thursday (12 March 2026) to\nSaturday (14 March 2026). However, due to a disturbance on Thursday\nmorning, the event only took place on Friday (13 March 2026).<\/p>\n<p>The money exchange quota for Friday was set at 200 people.<\/p>\n<p>Andika, who obtained an early queue number, failed to exchange money\ndue to a scuffle that caused the event to close before his turn\ncame.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYesterday we arrived just before 3 o\u2019clock but there was a clash in\nthe queue in front of the library and at City Hall,\u201d Andika told\nKompas.com on Friday.<\/p>\n<p>Undeterred, Andika returned to Balkot Ramadan Fest 2026 to exchange\nmoney on Friday at 03.00 am.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAt 3 in the morning, I managed to have breakfast at a food stall\nbeforehand,\u201d Andika explained.<\/p>\n<p>Andika was determined to exchange money to distribute to cousins and\nnephews during Eid.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ll give it to relatives, probably in 10,000 and 5,000 rupiah\ndenominations, limited to 200 notes,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Another resident, Dina (29) from Malabar, also came in the early\nmorning two consecutive days in order to queue for money exchange.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYesterday I came after breakfast at 3 o\u2019clock, then because I went\nhome first and came back again at half past 7, it was already very\ncrowded, and at 8 o\u2019clock there was chaos,\u201d she explained.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ll give it to my nephews, 10,000 and 5,000 rupiah, 200 notes,\u201d she\nsaid.<\/p>\n<p>Previously, it was reported that a disturbance occurred during the\nnew banknote exchange at the courtyard of Bogor City Library, West Java,\non Thursday (12 March 2026). Residents who had queued from dawn were\nasked to leave.<\/p>\n<p>According to Kompas.com observations on site, residents queuing to\nexchange money became involved in a verbal altercation with security\npersonnel on duty. Security appeared to be attempting to control the\nsituation and restore normal conditions. However, the cash exchange\nvehicle from one of the banks suddenly left the Bogor City Library\ncourtyard.<\/p>",
