The Regent of Bogor, Rudy Susmasting, has requested that the public\navoid speculating regarding the ongoing investigation by the Corruption\nEradication Commission (KPK) within the Bogor Regency Government, West\nJava.<\/p>\n
Speaking in Cibinong on Monday, Rudy urged the community to allow the\nKPK the necessary space to carry out the legal process and to await\nofficial updates from the anti-corruption agency.<\/p>\n
\u201cPlease do not create unnecessary commotion with reports that may not\nnecessarily be true,\u201d said Rudy.<\/p>\n
He emphasised that the Bogor Regency Government respects all legal\nprocesses conducted by the KPK and will not attempt any\nintervention.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe leave all legal stages entirely to the Corruption Eradication\nCommission. Whatever the outcome may be, we are a society that submits\nto and obeys the existing laws of the Republic of Indonesia,\u201d he\nstated.<\/p>\n
According to Rudy, the KPK is transparently communicating the\nprogress of the investigation within the Bogor Regency Government\nenvironment.<\/p>\n
He noted that the process has touched upon several regional agencies,\nincluding the Regional Revenue Agency (Bappenda), the Civil Service and\nHuman Resources Development Agency (BKPSDM), and the Education\nOffice.<\/p>\n
Rudy did not rule out the possibility that KPK investigators might\nvisit offices or examine other parties as required by the investigation,\nensuring that all steps taken comply with applicable laws and\nregulations.<\/p>\n
Rudy encouraged the public to wait for official developments from the\nKPK rather than forming independent opinions regarding the ongoing legal\nproceedings.<\/p>\n
He added that the Bogor Regency Government continues to uphold the\nprinciple of the presumption of innocence while respecting the KPK\u2019s\nauthority in handling the case.<\/p>\n
On Monday, the KPK summoned several officials from the Bogor Regency\nBappenda as witnesses in an investigation into alleged corruption\ninvolving the receipt of funds by state officials, suspected to have\noriginated from deductions in collection fees.<\/p>\n
The three officials summoned were the Head of Bappenda Bogor, Adi\nMulyadi, a civil servant (ASN) from Bappenda with the initials GS, and\nthe Head of the Bappenda Finance Sub-division with the initials RS.<\/p>\n
The KPK previously conducted searches at the Bappenda and BKPSDM\noffices in Bogor on Thursday (27\/8), followed by a search at the\nEducation Office on Friday (28\/8).<\/p>\n
