Bogor Regency (ANTARA) - Bogor Regent Rudy Susmanto said Bogor
Regency in West Java has made history by securing an allocation of at
least 6,396 units of Self-Help Housing Stimulant Assistance (BSPS) from
the Ministry of Housing and Settlement Areas (PKP) in 2026.

Rudy made the statement in remarks received by Antara in Bogor on
Friday, after meeting PKP Minister Maruarar Sirait at the PKP Ministry
office in Jakarta on Friday evening to discuss the implementation of the
housing programme in Bogor Regency.

“This is a new chapter in Bogor Regency’s history. We have received
assistance for the construction of uninhabitable houses, or BSPS,
amounting to at least 6,396 homes,” Rudy said.

He said the allocation serves as motivation for the Bogor Regency
Government to continue improving services to the public, particularly in
the provision of decent housing.

According to Rudy, Bogor Regency has the largest population of any
regency in Indonesia. Based on data from Statistics Indonesia (BPS), the
population of Bogor Regency stands at around 5.7 million, while
according to the National Socio-Economic Single Data (DTSEN) it reaches
approximately 6.19 million.

This situation, he said, means the need for decent housing in Bogor
Regency remains very large, requiring support from the central
government.

Rudy expressed appreciation for the PKP Ministry’s support in
increasing the BSPS allocation for Bogor Regency. He also welcomed the
possibility of an additional quota conveyed by the PKP Minister
following an evaluation of the programme’s implementation.

“Earlier, the Minister also mentioned plans to increase the
allocation. Of course, we will see how the evaluation turns out going
forward, but this is a source of motivation for us to keep serving the
public,” he said.

Meanwhile, PKP Minister Maruarar Sirait said the government would
study the possibility of increasing the BSPS allocation for Bogor
Regency if the programme’s implementation proceeds according to
target.

“If they are indeed ready, we still have allocations available,”
Maruarar said.

In addition to discussing the BSPS programme, Maruarar also plans to
visit Bogor Regency in October 2026 to review the housing sector and
promote the strengthening of the housing ecosystem involving micro,
small and medium enterprises (UMKM), contractors and developers.
",
