Bogor Police chief faces investigation<\/p>\n

Bogor Police chief Sr. Comr. Tjiptono was questioned by the East
\nJava Police's internal affairs division on Wednesday for the
\nalleged sexual harassment of his female subordinates.<\/p>\n
National Police spokesman Sr. Comr. Bambang Kuncoko said on
\nWednesday that the internal affairs investigators were also
\nplanning to question Tjiptono's two secretaries, who were the
\nalleged victims of the harassment.<\/p>\n
\"Those who are connected with this case will soon be
\nquestioned by the East Java Police,\" Bambang said.<\/p>\n
The case surfaced after a text message saying Tjiptono
\nharassed his secretaries sexually was circulated among several
\npeople in Bogor, including journalists and some police officers.<\/p>\n
However, none of the secretaries could be reached for comment,
\nwhile Tjiptono insisted the SMS was just a rumor sent by an
\nirresponsible person.<\/p>\n
Separately, West Java Police chief Insp. Gen. Edi Darnadi said
\nhe would not suspend Tjiptono as he had not been found guilty of
\nharassment.<\/p>\n
\"We have to seek the truth first before we can decide on any
\naction against him,\" he was quoted as saying by Detik.com.<\/p>\n
He said a joint team from the West Java Police and National
\nPolice Headquarters was investigating the case, the results of
\nwhich would be made public in the next few days.<\/p>",
