        "content": "<p>Bogor park sees holiday surge<\/p>\n<p>BOGOR: Over 10,000 people visited the Bogor Botanical Park in<br>\nthe first three hours after it opened at 6 a.m. on Tuesday, the<br>\ncountry's Independence Day.<\/p>\n<p>\"Visitors kept coming through the park's four entrances,\" park<br>\nofficial Sumarno was quoted as saying by Antara, adding that the<br>\ntotal number of visitors would not be known until after the park<br>\nclosed at 5 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>Although the park management did not arrange any special<br>\nactivities to celebrate the holiday, visitors took the initiative<br>\nto put on a variety of games and competitions, including sack<br>\nraces.<\/p>\n<p>Ropes were used to separate groups in order to avoid disputes<br>\nover picnic spots.<\/p>\n<p>Sumarno said the park normally saw up to 30,000 visitors on<br>\nholidays and a minimum of 4,000 visitors on regular days. -- JP<\/p>",
