Bogor needs waste dumps<\/p>\n
JAKARTA (JP): The Bogor administration has come under fire for
\nits carelessness in building inadequate facilities at the final
\nwaste dump in Pasir Jambu village.<\/p>\n
The Antara news agency reported on Thursday that the
\nfacilities still lacking are an asphalted road leading to the
\nlocation and a concrete wall around the dump to prevent the
\ngarbage from being scattered.<\/p>\n
Pasir Jambu residents have been affected by air pollution for
\nyears because of the absence of these facilities.<\/p>\n
\"We have reported these conditions to the Bogor administration
\nmany times but so far there has been no action being taken,\" a
\nresident said.<\/p>\n
The resident also said the administration had violated the
\nrule that only domestic and market wastes could be dumped there.<\/p>\n
\"The administration also dumps dangerous hospital wastes
\nthere,\" the resident said. (mas)<\/p>",
