The Bogor City Government, in collaboration with the West Java Provincial Government, is planning to construct a new road to replace Jalan Danasasmita, which has been closed since a landslide in March 2025, disrupting access to the city centre, including the train station and bus terminal. Mayor Dedie A Rachim stated that the project is in the tender evaluation stage, with the city preparing the land and urging residents to remain patient while improvements are made to alternative routes through residential areas. He also called for community discipline, including the removal of illegal structures and avoidance of noisy exhausts to minimise disturbances.

The Bogor City Government (Pemkot Bogor), together with the West Java
Provincial Government, plans to build a new road to replace Jalan
Danasasmita, which has been closed since last year due to a landslide.
Bogor Mayor Dedie A Rachim said the project is still in the tender
stage.

“At the provincial level, the tender has already been conducted; it
seems that now is the evaluation period for the tender participants.
After that, there will be the objection period, and only after the
objection period will we await the provincial announcement of the
winner. Insha’Allah, there will be no obstacles; Insha’Allah, the
progress will be good,” Dedie told reporters on Monday (20/4/2026).

Dedie mentioned that Pemkot Bogor is preparing the land that will
become the new road to replace the landslide-affected Jalan Danasasmita.
He hopes the community will be patient.

“Be patient, because we have already carried out the land
preparation. The Bogor City Government has already matured the land,” he
said.

It is known that Jalan Danasasmita was closed due to a landslide in
early March 2025. This road is an important access for residents to the
centre of Bogor City, including the station and bus terminal.

Since the road closure last year, vehicles have had to use
alternative routes through residential areas. Jalan Danasasmita was
briefly opened exclusively for motorcycles but was closed again three
months ago due to further subsidence.

Dedie also said that arrangements on the alternative routes are
continuously being carried out. Dedie asked residents to be orderly when
passing through the alternative routes in the residential areas.

“What is certain is that we have already carried out evictions on
approximately 14 illegal buildings. Then, we will still relocate
buildings or roads that make the passage narrow,” said Dedie.

“The community should not use modified exhausts because, after all,
we are passing through narrow roads, and if the exhaust is modified, it
will definitely disturb people, especially at night. So there needs to
be a sense of care, mutual respect, and appreciation,” he added.
",
