Bogor Regency (ANTARA) \u2014 The Bogor Regency Regional Disaster\nManagement Agency (BPBD) in West Java is handling a landslide in the\nPuncak area, specifically in Tugu Selatan Village, Cisarua District,\nwhich has forced 12 families or 40 people to evacuate.<\/p>\n
BPBD Bogor Regency Emergency and Logistics Division Head M Adam\nHamdani said in Bogor on Sunday that the incident occurred on Saturday\n(14\/2) at around 4:30 PM Western Indonesian Time (WIB) after prolonged\nheavy rainfall hit the area.<\/p>\n
\u201cDue to the heavy rain, drainage channels overflowed, causing a\nretaining wall to collapse and triggering the landslide. Soil debris and\nfloodwater entered residents\u2019 homes,\u201d Adam said.<\/p>\n
The landslide occurred in Kampung Bina Taruna RT 001\/005, Tugu\nSelatan Village, Cisarua District. The first report was received by the\nBPBD at 5:15 PM WIB from local village officials, and the BPBD rapid\nresponse team immediately moved to the location at 5:30 PM WIB to carry\nout response operations.<\/p>\n
Based on a rapid assessment, three houses sustained moderate damage,\nbelonging to Agung (2 families\/8 people), Asep (2 families\/6 people),\nand Adit (1 family\/4 people). In addition, six houses were affected by\nwater overflow without sustaining structural damage. One other house\nbelonging to Ridwan (1 family\/4 people) was reported to be in a\nthreatened condition.<\/p>\n
There were no fatalities or injuries from the incident. A total of 12\nfamilies or 40 people have temporarily evacuated to rented accommodation\nat the same address to avoid the risk of further landslides.<\/p>\n
\u201cFor now, the situation is not yet fully stable, and the evacuation\nof landslide debris will continue tomorrow,\u201d Adam said.<\/p>\n
A joint team comprising the BPBD rapid response team, the Fire\nDepartment, Social Affairs Agency emergency response volunteers\n(Tagana), village officials, military village supervisors (Babinsa),\ncommunity policing officers (Bhabinkamtibmas), Cisarua Community Health\nCenter, Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP), Tugu Selatan\nDisaster-Resilient Village team (Destana), communications volunteers,\nand local residents were all involved in the field response.<\/p>\n
The BPBD has also distributed clean water to affected residents,\nwhile basic needs required include emergency response logistics and\ntarpaulins. Relief logistics have been distributed by the Bogor Regency\nSocial Affairs Agency.<\/p>\n
Currently, water flow has been temporarily diverted by the joint team\nand residents to facilitate the cleanup of landslide debris.
