Bogor Botanical Garden earns profit<\/p>\n
BOGOR (JP): Within the six-day period between Idul Fitri and
\nNew Year's eve, the Bogor Botanical Garden (KRB) made a profit of
\nRp 400 million from 348,568 ticket sales, an official said on
\nMonday.<\/p>\n
"Besides the boom of visitors, both local and foreign, the
\nprofit resulted from the hike in ticket price from Rp 1,500 to Rp
\n3,000 per ticket," Amalia, a KRB employee, said.<\/p>\n
She said that during the last Idul Fitri, the KRB only made a
\nprofit of Rp 275 million from 183,342 tickets.<\/p>\n
"On the second day of Idul Fitri, a total of 26,160 tickets
\nsold, compared to 7,269 tickets the day before," Amalia said.<\/p>\n
On the fifth day of Idul Fitri which fell on Sunday, the
\nticket sale reached its peak with 43,409 tickets sold, giving
\nprofits of Rp 130 million.<\/p>\n
"In anticipation of the booming visitors on the first day of
\n2001, we provided 48,000 tickets. But I predict we will only sell
\n20,000 tickets with a total profit of Rp 60 million," she said.
