Body found in waterway<\/p>\n
JAKARTA (JP): The fully-clothed body of an unidentified man in
\nhis 20s was found floating in Banjir Kanal waterway in Tanah
\nAbang, Central Jakarta, on Sunday morning.<\/p>\n
According to a police officer from Tanah Abang police
\nsubprecinct, the deceased was found at 9:30 a.m. by local
\nteenagers who were playing football in a nearby field.<\/p>\n
The body was swollen but bore no signs of violence, said the
\nofficer, who asked not to be named.<\/p>\n
\"We found an identification card on his person but the
\nphotograph did not match the dead man's face,\" the officer said.<\/p>\n
Police believe the victim may have died an accidental death
\nafter falling into the river near to where his body was found.
\nHowever they did not dismiss the possibility of foul play being
\ninvolved.<\/p>\n
The body was taken to Cipto Mangunkusumo General Hospital for
\na postmortem examination.<\/p>\n
As of last night, nobody had appeared to claim the body,
\nforcing forensic experts to delay the examination, a member of
\nthe hospital's morgue staff, Sodikin, said. (ind)<\/p>",
