Body found in swamp<\/p>\n
JAKARTA (JP): Police believe a decomposed lower body found by
\na cleaner in Tangerang, 26 km west of Jakarta, Sunday morning,
\nwas a local resident who had been missing for three months.<\/p>\n
Jakarta Police Chief Maj. Gen. Hamani Nata said on Monday the
\nbody had been identified as Mohammad Nur, aged 35, a construction
\nworker from Jatiuwung subdistrict.<\/p>\n
The cleaner, Hamdani, found the body when clearing a swamp
\nfilled with water plants near the Total Persada Raya housing
\ncomplex in Jatiuwung.<\/p>\n
\"I was cleaning the swamp when I saw something strange near
\nsome water hyacinths,\" he said.<\/p>\n
Taking a closer look, Hamdani said he saw human legs encased
\nin trousers and tied with a rope.<\/p>\n
\"I was so afraid, I rushed to inform the police,\" Hamdani
\nsaid.<\/p>\n
Tangerang Police Precinct Chief Lt. Col. Iman Haryatna said
\npolice were still looking for a motive for the murder and had
\nquestioned several people.<\/p>\n
\"The rest of the body has not been found yet,\" Iman said.<\/p>\n
The swamp is cleaned daily by workers.<\/p>\n
The victim's family had reported to police that he had been
\nmissing for three months.<\/p>\n
Astayuda, an officer at Tangerang hospital's morgue said
\nyesterday no-one had claimed the body. Based on the body's
\ncondition, he believed the victim was murdered at least a month
