Jakarta (ANTARA) \u2013 Indonesia\u2019s National Disaster Management Agency\n(BNPB) has stressed that all public services and the agency\u2019s operations\nare continuing as normal and at full capacity amid reports of a sting\noperation by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).<\/p>\n
Berton SP Panjaitan, acting head of BNPB\u2019s Disaster Data, Information\nand Communication Centre, told reporters in Jakarta on Tuesday evening\nthat he could not comment further because he did not yet know the\ndetails of the reports.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe cannot make any statement because we do not know anything yet.\nWhat is certain is that there was no sting operation at BNPB\u2019s office\nfrom morning until midday, and we continued providing services as\nusual,\u201d Berton said.<\/p>\n
Earlier, the KPK confirmed that it had carried out its 22nd sting\noperation of 2026, in connection with the BNPB.<\/p>\n
According to Setyo, the KPK\u2019s enforcement team had detained several\npeople in the operation, and they were being questioned further.<\/p>\n
The KPK has not disclosed the identities of those detained or\nprovided a list of the people caught up in the operation. It said an\nofficial explanation would be delivered by KPK spokesperson Budi\nPrasetyo.<\/p>\n
