        "content": "<p>The National Disaster Mitigation Agency (BNPB) has introduced and\nhanded over a model unit of independent permanent housing (huntap) for\nsurvivors of flash floods in West Sumatra.<\/p>\n<p>BNPB Primary Secretary Rustian stated in Jakarta on Monday that the\nhandover of the model house key took place on Friday (10\/7), while also\nurging affected residents to immediately occupy the new dwelling.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe must not let the Huntap remain unoccupied after being built. This\nhouse is very decent, the materials are safe, and it is rainproof, so it\nis very secure,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Rustian explained that the single unit handed over serves as a pilot\nmodel for independent huntap construction utilising a material\ninnovation called SEPABLOCK (Semen Padang Bata Interlock).<\/p>\n<p>However, BNPB has not yet reported in detail the total number of\nindependent huntap units being built for subsequent handover to the\nflood survivor community in West Sumatra.<\/p>\n<p>Rustian mentioned that the huntap targets flash flood survivors in\nPadang City, Pariaman City, and Padang Panjang Regency.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEach house built is a type 36, consisting of two bedrooms, one\nliving room, and a kitchen,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n<p>He confirmed that BNPB will soon commence mass construction of\nindependent huntap units based on verified databases, following the\nsuccessful completion of this pilot house project.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAccelerating huntap construction is the government\u2019s commitment in\nthe rehabilitation and reconstruction phase, while also speeding up the\nrecovery process of community life post-disaster,\u201d he added.<\/p>",
