Jakarta\n(ANTARA) - As many as 100 households in Pasuruan City, East Java, have\nbeen impacted by flooding due to the overflow of the Welang River\nfollowing heavy rain in the area, as reported by the National Disaster\nManagement Agency (BNPB) on Thursday. \u201cPersonnel from the East Java\nProvincial Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) along with the Pasuruan\nCity BPBD have been deployed to the location to conduct rapid\nassessments and coordination with local village apparatus,\u201d said the\nHead of the BNPB Data, Information, and Disaster Communication Centre,\nAbdul Muhari, in Jakarta on Thursday. BNPB confirmed that the flooding,\nwhich occurred after heavy rain on Tuesday evening (21\/4), inundated\nresidential areas and road access in seven neighbourhoods, with at least\n100 homes temporarily submerged.
