The National Narcotics Agency (BNN) of the Republic of Indonesia is\nfacilitating a pilot People\u2019s School at the BNN K9 Detection Unit in\nLido, West Java, as a concrete manifestation of cross-ministerial and\ninstitutional collaboration.<\/p>\n
Head of BNN RI, Police Commissioner General Suyudi Ario Seto, said\nthat the use of BNN facilities as a pilot People\u2019s School is one form of\nBNN\u2019s support for the Ministry of Social Affairs\u2019 programme to expand\naccess to education for children from underprivileged families.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis collaboration also demonstrates that cross-ministerial support\ncan be realised concretely through the utilisation of resources owned by\neach institution for the benefit of the public,\u201d said Commissioner\nGeneral Suyudi in a statement confirmed in Jakarta on Monday.<\/p>\n
He said that the spirit of cross-ministerial and institutional\ncollaboration is not only contained in the Memorandum of Understanding\n(MoU), such as the one signed by the Head of BNN RI, the Minister of\nSocial Affairs, the Minister of Health, and the Minister of Manpower on\nthe Synergy for the Implementation of Rehabilitation and\nPost-Rehabilitation on Tuesday (11\/8).<\/p>\n
That spirit is also being realised through tangible support on the\nground, one of which is the use of BNN facilities as a pilot People\u2019s\nSchool.<\/p>\n
Following the signing of the MoU at the BNN Human Resources\nDevelopment Centre (PPSDM) in Lido, the Head of BNN RI, together with\nMinister of Social Affairs Saifullah Yusuf and Minister of Health Budi\nGunadi Sadikin, inspected the pilot People\u2019s School occupying the BNN\nfacility.<\/p>\n
On that occasion, the three officials saw first-hand the readiness of\nthe classrooms, supporting facilities, and various needs that had been\nprepared to support teaching and learning activities, while also\ninteracting with the students who will take part in the pilot People\u2019s\nSchool programme.<\/p>\n
The Minister of Social Affairs expressed his appreciation for BNN\u2019s\nsupport in organising the pilot People\u2019s School.<\/p>\n
He assessed that the support is a concrete manifestation of\ninter-agency collaboration in following up on President Prabowo\u2019s\ndirective to expand access to education and improve the intellectual\nlife of the nation.<\/p>\n
The pilot People\u2019s School at the BNN K9 Detection Unit in Lido,\nBogor, West Java, is attended by 50 students from decile 1 and 2\nfamilies in Bogor Regency.<\/p>\n
They consist of 25 lower secondary school (SMP) students and 25 upper\nsecondary school (SMA) students, with a composition of 26 male students\nand 24 female students. The students have been designated as People\u2019s\nSchool participants through a Decree of the Regent of Bogor.<\/p>\n
To support the educational process, the pilot People\u2019s School is\nsupported by 18 guest teachers as teaching staff. In addition, there are\n15 education personnel consisting of 10 foster guardians and 5 dormitory\nguardians to accompany the students during the programme.<\/p>\n
The students have undergone the School Environment Introduction\nPeriod (MPLS) starting 15 August 2026 for 5 days. After that, students\nwill take part in a matriculation programme for 14 days, or two weeks,\nbefore entering full learning activities.<\/p>\n
The collaboration between BNN and the Ministry of Social Affairs in\norganising the pilot People\u2019s School at the BNN K9 Detection Unit is a\nform of joint support in providing access to education for communities\nin need.<\/p>\n
