        "content": "<p>The Indonesian National Narcotics Agency (BNN) on Tuesday (19 May)\nuncovered a drug distribution network for methamphetamine, known as the\nAceh\u2013Bogor network, involving a member of the Indonesian National Armed\nForces (TNI) in the Bogor area, West Java. Acting Deputy for Criminal\nPrevention and Eradication Roy Siahaan, Brigadier General, said the\nbreakthrough resulted from patrols around 04:00 local time against a\nsuspicious vehicle in Bogor, in the Saber Bersinar operation.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018The suspects are three people, consisting of two civilians and one\nTNI member,\u2019 he told reporters on Tuesday. He explained that during the\npatrol officers saw a white Mitsubishi Pajero passing by. The vehicle\nwas stopped and searched. Upon examination, three people were found\ninside the car, including a TNI soldier.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018This person is indeed a TNI member. His involvement is that he was\ndirectly inside the Pajero at the time. Therefore we conclude that he is\na distributor,\u2019 he said. \u2018In other words, the person knew that the drugs\nwere kept there. So it is not about whether he is a user or not, because\nwe have confirmed that the person is a distributor, bringing the drugs\nfrom Aceh, via South Sumatra, then through Belapori to Bogor. And we\nmanaged to arrest him in Bogor.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>From the search, officers found dozens of packets of methamphetamine\nweighing 29 kilograms in Chinese tea packaging stored in the rear\ncompartment of the vehicle. The dozens of kilograms of meth were\nbelieved to be circulated in the Jabodetabek region.<\/p>\n<p>Roy said the three suspects and the evidence would be taken for\nfurther examination and case development. He noted that BNN had\ncoordinated with the TNI Military Police (POM TNI) regarding legal\nprocesses for the soldier.<\/p>\n<p>Separately, Roy said, in total 31 suspects had been arrested across\nvarious parts of Indonesia during the Saber Bersinar operation.\nAdditionally, seizures included 136.5 kilograms of meth, 147 kilograms\nof cannabis, 1,260 milliliters of etomidate, 1,029 grams of ketamine and\n6,681 ecstasy tablets.<\/p>",
