PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, or BNI, continues to\nstrengthen its implementation of Good Corporate Governance (GCG), risk\nmanagement, internal controls, and capital structure to maintain healthy\nand sustainable business growth. The step is in line with the SOE\ntransformation agenda and the creation of long-term value within the\nDanantara Indonesia ecosystem.<\/p>\n
One of these fundamental strengthening measures was realised through\nthe issuance of an Additional Tier 1 (AT1) instrument worth US$700\nmillion in international markets.<\/p>\n
BNI Corporate Secretary Okki Rushartomo said that good corporate\ngovernance is not merely a matter of regulatory compliance, but a\nfoundation for maintaining the trust of the public, investors, and all\nstakeholders.<\/p>\n

According to him, this commitment is in line with the direction of\nSOE transformation alongside Danantara Indonesia. Danantara has a\nmandate to manage and optimise government investments and SOE assets in\nsupport of national strategic programmes, industrialisation, and\nsustainable economic growth.<\/p>\n
Beyond strengthening its capital, BNI is continuing its\norganisational transformation through the refinement of business\nprocesses, the use of digital technology, and improvements in the\nquality of its human resources. This transformation is aimed at\nincreasing efficiency, strengthening competitiveness, and delivering\nservices that are increasingly relevant to customers\u2019 needs.<\/p>\n
Strengthened governance and fundamentals also serve as capital for\nBNI to carry out its intermediation function in a healthy manner. With a\nstronger business capacity, the company seeks to broaden access to\nfinancial services and support various national development\nprogrammes.<\/p>\n
