PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, or BNI, continues to channel\nsupport for communities affected by the disaster in East Nusa Tenggara\n(NTT) through the provision of health services, trauma healing\nfacilities, clean water, and logistical support in a number of affected\nareas.<\/p>\n
One such form of support is being delivered through the BNI Berbagi\nBUMN Peduli NTT post at Lapangan Berdikari, Danga, Mbay. The post\nprovides health services, trauma healing facilities, evacuation tents,\nclean water, and logistical support for the community during the\nemergency response and recovery period.<\/p>\n
BNI Corporate Secretary Okki Rushartomo said the move is part of the\nbank\u2019s effort to respond to community needs in stages as the\npost-disaster situation develops.<\/p>\n
\u201cAssistance will continue to be distributed in stages, adjusting to\ndevelopments in needs on the ground. Through health services, trauma\nhealing, and other basic needs support, we hope affected communities can\nobtain the support they need during the emergency response period\nthrough to the recovery process,\u201d Okki said in a written statement on\nThursday (20\/8\/2026).<\/p>\n
Trauma healing facilities are being provided as part of psychosocial\nrecovery support, particularly for children and vulnerable groups. The\nfacilities are expected to provide a safe and comfortable space for the\ncommunity to receive assistance and help restore emotional well-being\nafter facing the disaster.<\/p>\n
In addition, BNI is also providing health check-up services, clean\nwater, and stocks of basic necessities to help meet the needs of\ncommunities in affected locations.<\/p>\n
To support services and handling on the ground, BNI has also provided\ntents in a number of areas, including Maumere, Kewapante, Ritapiret,\nCibal, Ruteng, Borong, and Mbay. The placement of tents is tailored to\nthe needs of each location, including supporting health facility\nactivities, public services, and providing temporary shelter for\nresidents.<\/p>\n
Previously, through the BNI Berbagi programme, basic needs assistance\nhad reached Ende, Borong, Labuan Bajo, Maumere, and Ruteng. The support\nwas provided in stages to help communities and displaced people meet\ntheir daily needs during the emergency response period while also\nsupporting the recovery process.<\/p>\n
Okki added that BNI will continue to coordinate with local\ngovernments and relevant parties to ensure the support provided matches\ncommunity needs. Evaluations are also carried out periodically to\ndetermine further forms of assistance as the situation develops.<\/p>\n
\u201cBNI, together with other state-owned enterprises, will continue to\nbe present and coordinate with local governments and relevant parties to\nensure support can be provided appropriately and deliver real benefits\nto affected communities,\u201d Okki said.<\/p>\n
