        "content": "<p>Jakarta \u2013 PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, commonly known as\nBNI, held an Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders (EGMS) and\ndecided to appoint Febrio Nathan Kacaribu as a Non-Independent\nCommissioner.<\/p>\n<p>It is known that Febrio Nathan Kacaribu is the Director General of\nEconomic and Fiscal Strategy at the Ministry of Finance, one of the\nsubordinates of Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa.<\/p>\n<p>According to the Disclosure of Information from the Indonesia Stock\nExchange (BEI), the appointment of Febrio as a Non-Independent\nCommissioner of BNI has also received approval from the Financial\nServices Authority (OJK).<\/p>\n<p>This is outlined in OJK Letter No.\u00a0SR-291\/PB.13\/2026 dated 17 April\n2026.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cApproves the appointment of Mr Febrio Nathan Kacaribu as a\nNon-Independent Commissioner of the Company,\u201d as stated by BNI\u2019s\nmanagement in the BEI Disclosure of Information, quoted on Monday, 20\nApril 2026.<\/p>\n<p>Thus, based on the BNI EGMS decision and OJK Letter\nNo.\u00a0SR-291\/PB.13\/2026 dated 17 April 2026, the appointment of Febrio\nNathan Kacaribu as a Non-Independent Commissioner of BNI will take\neffect from 17 April 2026.<\/p>\n<p>For information, before serving as the current Director General of\nEconomic and Fiscal Strategy at the Ministry of Finance, Febrio was\nknown to have been the Head of the Fiscal Policy Agency at the Ministry\nof Finance from mid-2020 to 2025.<\/p>\n<p>His academic track record includes a Bachelor\u2019s degree in Economics\nfrom Universitas Indonesia (UI).<\/p>\n<p>He then obtained a Master of International &amp; Development\nEconomics from Australian National University (ANU), while his PhD in\nEconomics was obtained from the University of Kansas, United States\n(US).<\/p>",
