        "content": "<p>The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) forecasts\nthat today, Wednesday, most parts of Indonesia will experience thick\ncloud cover.<\/p>\n<p>BMKG forecaster Miftah Ali, speaking on a YouTube channel monitored\nfrom Jakarta, said that beginning with the Sumatra region, Pekanbaru and\nPangkal Pinang are forecast to be cloudy, while Banda Aceh, Jambi and\nBengkulu will see thick cloud. Light rain is likely to fall over Padang\nand Tanjung Pinang.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPalembang and Bandar Lampung are forecast to experience hazy\nconditions. Be alert for moderate-intensity rain that may hit Medan,\u201d he\nsaid.<\/p>\n<p>Moving to Java, the weather in Yogyakarta, Semarang and Surabaya will\nbe blanketed by thick cloud, while Serang, Jakarta and Bandung are\nforecast to see light rain.<\/p>\n<p>For the Kalimantan region, Pontianak and Palangkaraya are forecast to\nexperience hazy conditions, while Samarinda will see thick cloud.\nTanjung Selor is likely to be hit by light-intensity rain.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBe alert for potential smoke or haze that may affect the Banjarmasin\narea,\u201d Miftah said.<\/p>\n<p>For the Sulawesi region, Manado is forecast to be partly cloudy,\nwhile Makassar will be cloudy. Thick cloud is expected to cover\nGorontalo, Palu and Kendari.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLight-intensity rain is forecast to fall over Mamuju,\u201d Miftah\nsaid.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, for Maluku and North Maluku, Ternate and Ambon are\nforecast to see thick cloud.<\/p>\n<p>Moving to Papua, Sorong is forecast to experience thick cloud, while\nManokwari and Nabire face potential smoke or haze.
