        "content": "<p>Blood testing equipment in Tangerang<\/p>\n<p>TANGERANG: The Indonesian Red Cross's Blood Transfusion Unit in<br>\nTangerang now has the capability to produce blood for<br>\ntransfusions and test blood for diseases, including Aids.<\/p>\n<p>PMI's Tangerang branch secretary, Mas Iman Kusnandar, said the<br>\nequipment was purchased with financial assistance from the<br>\nTangerang regency administration.<\/p>\n<p>He said that of all the Red Cross's blood transfusion units in<br>\nthe new Banten province, Tangerang was the first to posses such<br>\nadvanced equipment, which could also produce thrombocytes to help<br>\npatients suffering from dengue fever.<\/p>\n<p>He said the equipment could produce up to 361 bags of standard<br>\nfresh plasma or red blood cell per day. --JP<\/p>",
