        "content": "<p>The Ministry of Investment and Downstreaming\/Investment Coordinating\nBoard (BKPM) continues to strengthen the quality of the investment\nclimate through simplifying licensing services, enhancing legal\ncertainty, and facilitating the resolution of various investment\nobstacles, or debottlenecking.<\/p>\n<p>These efforts are undertaken to ensure that investment projects can\nbe realised promptly and deliver economic benefits to the public.<\/p>\n<p>Minister of Investment and Downstreaming\/Head of BKPM Rosan Roeslani,\nin an official statement in Jakarta on Saturday, emphasised the critical\nrole of collaboration between the central government, regional\ngovernments, ministries and agencies, as well as stakeholders in\noverseeing investment implementation.<\/p>\n<p>According to Rosan, global investment is increasingly moving towards\nstrategic sectors that will shape the future economy, such as digital\ninfrastructure, artificial intelligence (AI), clean energy, advanced\nmanufacturing, and critical minerals.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe next phase of downstreaming is not only concerned with minerals\nand their processing, but extends to digital infrastructure, technology,\ninnovation and industries that will determine future global growth,\u201d he\nsaid.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to strengthening investment facilitation, BKPM is also\npromoting greater business certainty through increasingly predictable\nbusiness processes.<\/p>\n<p>This is considered important because investment decisions today take\ninto account not only the domestic market and production costs, but also\nstability, business certainty, partnerships, infrastructure reliability,\nand long-term vision.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking as a keynote speaker at the Jakarta Investment Festival\n(JIF) Summit 2026 in Jakarta on Friday (28\/8), he also noted that\nJakarta holds a strategic position as one of the main growth and\ninvestment centres contributing significantly to the Indonesian\neconomy.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cJakarta has a very important role in this journey,\u201d said Minister\nRosan.<\/p>\n<p>Throughout the first half of 2026, realised investment in Jakarta\nreached Rp173.6 trillion, or 17.2 percent of total national investment\nrealisation. Jakarta also contributed 16.3 percent to the national Gross\nDomestic Product (GDP) in the second quarter of 2026.<\/p>\n<p>The investment realisation was supported by several key sectors,\nincluding transportation, warehousing and telecommunications with an\ninvestment value of Rp54.4 trillion, other services at Rp43.6 trillion,\ntrade and repairs at Rp28.4 trillion, housing and offices at Rp14\ntrillion, and construction at Rp12.9 trillion.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe know that Jakarta contributes very significantly to total\ninvestment realisation in Indonesia, and if we look at it, Jakarta\nalmost always ranks in the top five, and this semester it is ranked\nfirst,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Ministry of Investment and Downstreaming\/BKPM always\ncollaborates with the Jakarta Government to ensure that projects in\nJakarta are facilitated and their implementation can proceed properly\nand correctly, so as to provide benefits not only to Jakarta but to the\nIndonesian economy,\u201d said Rosan.<\/p>",
